What I most enjoy as a therapist is connecting with people, learning from them, and helping them to learn about themselves. My worldview is to let people be themselves and to stick up for people when other people won't let them be themselves. My clients would describe me as attentive, insightful, honest, and (when appropriate) funny. A recent supervisor thanked me for reminding her that the work of a therapist, while serious and at times difficult, can include a sense of joy and play.
When I'm not doing the hard and joyful work of therapy, I spend time with my partner, our kids, and our dog Puck. I also play drums in an improvisational rock band you've never heard of and am relearning how to ride a skateboard. I would be glad to schedule an initial phone call with you and learn about where you are and where you'd like to be.
